We are leaders in Sensory Spaces because we are a team of NeuroDivergent teachers, artists, event planners and researchers

We are a proud Neurodivergent-led and operated organisation, and leaders in hosting sensory spaces at conferences and other events. Our sensory spaces – My Sensory Space – are purpose designed, curated and responsive spaces for delegates, speakers and organisers who thrive in a different kind of sensory environment – away from bright lights, echoing voices and hundreds of people.

Our team works uses a model of complimentary and is a collection of Neurodivergent educators, artists and event managers who work together in organic and non-hierarchical ways that allow each person to contribute their expertise and be supported by others’ so that we achieve excellent results beyond what any individual is able. In doing so we show the vibrant ecology of human and non-human diversity in action.

Case Studies

Our second event for the Reggio Emilia Information Exchange Australia in May 2025 saw us take all our gear over to the beautiful Adelaide Convention Centre to provide a space for calm that delegagtes could retreat to, but also to provide an immersive experience of how the physical environment can be curated to create a space that offers co-regulation. We were extra fortunate at this event to have Sasha the Therapy Dog attend as well to give much appreciated cuddles to delegages who like extra proprioceptive and tactile input

Along with our signature quiet space, we added a creative space at the 2025 Carer Celebration Day hosted by Holstep Health at Grazeland in Melbourne's west. The creative space added a playful element so that people could connect and chat informally and really celebrate the year in a way that had inclusion and access at its heart.

Our signature space was designated to be a silent space and we brought in extra angels so that we could provide true calm for people who needed it in August 2025 when 3000 delegates gathered at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for the International Childhood Trauma Conference. The space was one for speakers and delegates to come for silence, peace and regulation and we took advantage of the upper level room to give the space a tree house feeling that we made extra tranquil and cozy with lots of blankets, soft space dividers and a neutral colour palatte.

As part of our commmittment to give back to our community, we donated a space at the Third Birthday Celebration for the Victorian Pride Centre in July 2024. There was so much to love about this event, and we brought in found elements from our own spaces to make this space feel extra warm, welcoming and loving. It was emotional to see people arriving alone and coming to the space at the beginning of the event and as the event went on these people started connecting and chatting and by the end of the evening the space was one giant circle of community in connection
